Welcome to Saint Michael & All Angels, Brighton.
Saint Michael’s is an inclusive church in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England and welcomes everyone.
In response to Covid 19, our pattern of worship and pastoral care is changing and further information is found on this page.
Supporting and Helping the Church
During this difficult time we need you support and help. Our enforced closure during the COVID-19 lockdown means that we’re facing an unprecedented reduction in voluntary donations and income from rentals and events. As such, we need to raise an additional £10,000 this year, so PLEASE donate whatever you can today to help us reach our appeal target. Thank you.
Letter from the Vicar Regarding the Resumption of Public Worship
Greetings on the Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time. Today we can finally resume public worship and there will be a said mass at 10.30am at St Michael’s and 11.30am at St Paul’s.
Today both churches will again be open for private prayer and there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament: St Michael’s 10.30-12.30pm and St Paul’s 11.00am-12.30pm.
Please see the Mass Times page for more information.
In addition, St Paul’s will be open for private prayer, from 11-12pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Please do note that social distancing guidelines must be observed, any socialising must be done away from the church building and there will be no toilet facilities. (further guidance is attached to this letter).
The Benefice Mass will be continued to be streamed on Facebook at 9.30am and later uploaded to Youtube.
As was announced last Sunday, Bishop Martin has asked me to become the Vicar of Durrington, which I have accepted. As yet details of when I will leave the Benefice are still to be finalised, but in the meantime, I would be grateful for your prayers as I will continue to pray for you.
With my love and prayers
